Project: Walking Tour

Maisha's Role: Researcher, Organizer, Tour Guide

In June 2018, Maisha led a walking in Seattle's Central District Neighborhood in partnership with The Urbanist. As a by-product of her capstone project at the University of Washington, she created two composite walking tours from the memories and stories of eight central district residents. Three of those residents joined her on the tour to share personal accounts of their favorite places. The tour is intended to bring people together, help reveal and preserve the historic landscape of the central district neighborhood and serve as an educational and urban planning tool.
