Project: Wayfinding

After an 18 month of battle with the Seattle Department of Transportation, eight wayfinding signs to Jimi Hendrix Park and the Northwest African American Museum were installed at the following locations:

  • North and South bound on Rainier Ave., South

  • North and South bound on 23rd Ave., South

  • East and West bound on S. Massachusetts Street

  • North and South bound on MLK Jr. Way

In May 2016, an unveiling ceremony for the new wayfinding/directional signage took place with members from the Friends of Jimi Hendrix Park and staff from: the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, Northwest African American Museum, Seattle Department of Transportation, the Mayor's office, and 4Culture.
