A walking path was installed at the intersection of S. Atlantic Street and 23rd Avenue South to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, bicyclists, and people with disabilities. The ADA accessible, concrete walkway creates a stronger pedestrian connection between Sam Smith Park, Jimi Hendrix Park, the Northwest African American Museum, the residential community near the 23rd Avenue corridor, and to the future Judkins Park Light Rail Transit station.
