Project: Kevin Durant Basketball Court at Powell Barnett Park
My Role: Community Partner
Duties: Consulted on basketball court design, recruited special interests groups to attend the opening ceremony, and served as a featured speaker at the grand opening celebration.
In summer 2016, the basketball court at Powell Barnett Park underwent a full renovation thanks to a joint effort between Sparkling Ice, Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation (KDCF). This renovation is part of KDCF’s: "BUILD IT AND THEY WILL BALL" Courts Renovation Initiative designed to increase the number of high quality basketball courts accessible to underprivileged youth across the United States and around the globe.
